Ordering and Shipping
How long does delivery take?
We ship nationwide across South Africa. Standard delivery takes 3 to 5 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order has been dispatched.
What happens if a product is out of stock when I place my order?
No need to worry. If a product is out of stock at the time of your order, we will contact you immediately to let you know. Our standard lead time for out of stock items is 2 to 3 weeks. We will keep you updated every week on the progress of your order until it is ready to ship. You will never be left wondering what is happening with your purchase.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free shipping on all orders over R1000. Orders under R1000 attract a standard shipping fee which will be calculated at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within South Africa only. If you are based outside of SA and would like to place an order, please contact us on WhatsApp and we will do our best to assist.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order has been dispatched you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this to track your delivery directly with the courier.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, EFT, and other payment methods available at checkout. All transactions are processed securely through Shopify's payment system.
Products and Materials
What steel is used in Forken Lekker Braai tools?
The majority of the Forken Lekker Braai range is made from 304 grade stainless steel, the same specification used in professional kitchens and industrial equipment. It is heat resistant, corrosion resistant, food safe, and easy to clean. It does not rust under normal use and will last for generations with basic care.
The Rib Stand is made from 3CR12 stainless steel, which is a highly durable heat-resistant grade well suited to high-temperature braai applications. The CAM Products flat-pack braai bodies are made from 3CR12 stainless steel, while the CAM grids and sliding handles are 304 stainless steel. What are the handles made from?
The handles on all Forken Lekker Braai tools are made from Knysna Blackwood, one of South Africa's most prized indigenous hardwoods. It is dense, naturally heat resistant, and ages beautifully with use. If your handle ever needs replacing, we sell replacement handles separately.
Are the CAM Products grids dishwasher safe?
Yes. All CAM Products 304 stainless steel grids feature a sliding handle design that collapses the grid to fit a standard dishwasher. They are fully dishwasher safe, making them the easiest braai grids to clean on the market.
How do I care for my braai tools?
Stainless steel tools just need a wipe down after use. No oil needed. Store them in a dry place indoors when not in use. The Knysna Blackwood handles benefit from an occasional rub with food safe wood oil such as linseed or tung oil to keep them from drying out. Do not soak the handles in water. If a handle ever cracks or wears, replace it rather than continuing to use a compromised grip.

Personalisation and Laser Engraving
Do you offer personalisation on your braai tools?
Yes! We offer professional laser engraving directly onto the stainless steel surface of your tool. A name and short message are engraved permanently and will never fade, peel or wear off. It is one of the best ways to turn a premium braai tool into a truly personal gift.
How much does laser engraving cost?
Laser engraving is R200 per product. Simply add the laser engraving option to your cart alongside the product you want engraved, and include your name and message in the order notes at checkout. We will confirm the details with you before we engrave.
How long does an engraved order take?
Engraved orders have a lead time of 1 to 2 weeks before dispatch. We will confirm all engraving details with you before we begin and keep you updated throughout the process.
Which products can be engraved?
Laser engraving is available on the following products: Braai Spade, Scraper, Rake, Dust Pan, Rib Stand, Trio Gift Set, Donkey Long Tong 80cm, Donkey Tong 69cm, Flat Pack Biker, Flat Pack Basic, Flat Pack Camper, Flat Pack Deluxe, Flat Pack Deluxe Long, Braai Tong 400mm and Braai Tong 550mm.

Gifting and Gift Cards
Are Forken Lekker Braai products good gifts?
That is exactly why we built the brand. Julie started Forken Lekker Braai because she could not find braai tools worth giving as gifts. Every product in the range is designed to be practical, premium quality, and something you would be proud to give, whether it is to a colleague, a friend, your dad, or the best braaier on the street.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! Our Forken Lekker Braai gift cards are available in three denominations: R250, R500 and R1000. They never expire and can be used on anything in the store. Perfect when you want to give something special but are not sure exactly which product to choose.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Please contact us on WhatsApp before placing your order and we will do our best to assist with gift presentation.
Can I add a gift message to my order?
Yes. You can add a gift message at checkout in the order notes field. We will include it with your delivery.
Do you cater for corporate gifting?
Yes. We offer corporate branding on selected products for bulk orders. Visit our Corporate Branding page for more information, or chat to us on WhatsApp to discuss your requirements.
What is a good braai gift under R500?
The Forken Lekker Braai Spade at R499, the Scraper or Rake at R399 each, or the Funky Ouma Travel Trio at R200 are all excellent options under R500. A R250 gift card also makes a great entry level gift.
What is the most popular gift set?
The Forken Lekker Braai Trio at R999 is our most gifted product. It combines the Spade, Scraper and Poke EM in a matched 304 stainless steel and Knysna Blackwood set, complete with a wall hanger. Add laser engraving for R200 to make it completely unique.
Returns and Warranty
What is your returns policy?
If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will do everything we can to make it right. Products must be unused and in their original condition. Please note that personalised and engraved products cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or with an error on our part. Please contact us on WhatsApp to arrange a return.
What if my product arrives damaged?
Please take a photo of the damage and contact us on WhatsApp immediately. We will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Our products are built to last generations. If you experience a manufacturing defect, please contact us and we will assess and resolve it. Normal wear from regular braai use is not covered, but we do sell replacement handles so you can keep your tools going indefinitely.
